Jackson Rug - 8' x 10'
The contemporary Jackson Rug is hand-tufted in exquisite New Zealand Wool (65%), cotton linen (10%) and viscose (25%). The pattern for a tufted rug is made to full scale and then traced onto the backing fabric. The fabric is then stretched onto a metal frame and is the base for the tufting. The rug is tufted from the back, onto the front, using a hand tufting gun. It works either as a needle, making loops on the front or as a blade, producing a cut pile. Jackson is finished with a high quality backing cloth which makes up the underside of the rug. All sewing of edges, pile work and embossing is done by hand. Crafted in India; pile height is 0.5".
